Go South Coast managing director Andrew Wickham awarded MBE for services to bus industry

We are proud to announce our managing director Andrew Wickham has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King’s New Year’s Honours list.

Andrew, who has been awarded his MBE for services to the bus industry, originally graduated from Aston University in 1987 with a BSc (Hons) in Transport Operation and Planning. He joined Brighton Borough Transport in 1986, whilst at university.

Later holding various roles across the country - including at London General Transport Services, and Plymouth Citybus - Andrew was appointed managing director of Go-Ahead Group’s Go South Coast in 2011.

Andrew has been credited as the driving force behind a significant increase in bus passenger journeys across the south - and overseeing a successful recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic. is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT).
