Assistant Communications and Marketing Manager
Job Description
If you have a passion for sustainability and want a role within a company that has ambitious climate change targets, this could be the role for you. Go South Coast is a multi-award-winning bus operator running 140 bus services throughout the south of England. Our bus brands include morebus, Bluestar, Salisbury Reds, Southern Vectis and Swindon’s Bus Company.
This is a varied but hands on role, so we are looking for someone with a flexible approach who likes to get stuck in, being practical is a must!
We are embarking on the biggest challenge of our time: to bring people back to using public transport after the pandemic.
What will you be doing:
- Creating attention grabbing marketing campaigns
- Updating websites and creating e-newsletters
- Managing social media marketing content
- Managing our roadside publicity team
- Assisting with internal communications
- Supporting our community and charity work
- Managing/attending events
Job specific skills are:
- To have a passion for public transport and sustainability
- Have at least 3 years marketing experience with a marketing qualification
- To be a motivated, happy and an enthusiastic team player
- Excellent written English with impeccable spelling and grammar
- Basic Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro knowledge
- Experience of CMS and CRM systems
- Flexible working approach (buses operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day!)
- Full, clean UK driving licence and the understanding of the need to travel across Go South Coast’s wide geographically spread area of depots and garages
- Local knowledge of bus routes and geography an advantage
This full-time role is based in Poole at our morebus bus station. You will be part of a wider marketing and commercial team. We offer a good salary and other benefits including free travel and an employee discount and wellbeing platform.
