Go South Coast is the largest passenger transport provider on the south coast operating circa 800 buses and coaches across 12 main depots and forms part of the well-respected Go-Ahead Group. Due to the retirement and promotion of the current holders this is a rare opportunity to join this multi award winning team. We are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our Senior Leadership team. This role offers a wide range of autonomy within the engineering framework allowing you make the right decisions for the business under your control. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent people skills to guide and motivate teams across several sites in Dorset whilst building a customer centric culture, but more importantly ensure statutory, legal, and regulatory compliance. A professional and calm approach with strong communication skills, both spoken and written.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, this job role requires a self-managing, motivated individual and who is able to work on their own initiative and provide support to both Engineering and Operations Departments, to ensure Go South Coast is compliant with current transport legislation and fulfils the obligations of the Operator’s Licence. It is a requirement of the position that the successful candidate becomes a Transport Manager.
